Work Together, Play Together

Our goal was to create a practical piece of furniture that would look cohesive in a wide range of interior design styles and invite your cat to be part of what you’re doing. We were inspired by a cat’s natural instincts to mark and share territory, to seek warmth, and to find enclosed spaces to hide in. Our design includes features to discretely run wires and store your peripherals while enticing your cat to sleep and stay safely by your side. We chose natural, maple plywood for its warmth and timeless wood grain. Whether you’re at work or play, do it together with comfort for you and your cat.

Cat-a-Combs

The hexagonal shapes or “honeycombs” create fun opportunities for movement between the parts of the play structure, and the variability of scale allows variety in terms of use. While this design focuses on cat’s needs, a small or medium dog can use the larger hexagon as a place to sit or sleep. There is also a cat hammock in the larger space to allow for potentially fun interactions between a cat and a canine friend. The carpeted surfaces allow for cats to stretch and sharpen their claws, and the roped openings create enclosed areas that are still visibly open. The modular approach to the design encourages ease of movement of parts, and potential for disassembly if necessary.

Knot In My House

“Knot In My House” showcases rope, a beloved interactive play toy for cats and dogs alike. This colorful creation allows our feline and canine family members to share a common space for both relaxation and recreation. Enveloping the minimalist wood cube, multi-colored ropes create textured experiences, inside and out. The inner space unexpectedly reveals multiple levels for play – from scratching surfaces and plush cat towers to cozy hammocks, rope tugs and a bungee tunnel run. The ropes are the stars of the show, just as our dearest companions are the stars of our homes.

Woof Woods

Emulating a tree through its structure, Woof Woods takes characteristics of nature and turns it into a play hub for our medium canine friends. The incorporation of the homes leaf shaped
roof serves multiple purposes in providing for the ultimate experience, from its skylight to the perforations. The skylight allows for a well-lit interior, while the perforation system
allows for ropes to be tied through with toys at their ends hanging down allowing for their favorite toys to be a tug away. Bigger perforations can be used as storage to set your dogs
favorite tennis balls. Lastly, the simplicity of the lounge area serves as an easy passage to allow our friend to run in and out of the home as they please.

To create a fun, elegant, but functional place for the dog to rest in but also as a stepping stool to get onto higher places to cuddle with their best friend- whether on a high couch or the bed.
Through multiple rounds of design, it was our goal to have it be a bridge between dog and human in both an elegant and safe way. This meant understanding the proportions for a teacup pup as well as the needs of the owner. That’s why we’ve created a drawer compartment as well to provide space to store those delicious treats for the pup or just have it as a convenience that way you can place this doghouse anywhere in the house.
