TERRA FUR-MA

By

Seasons have come and gone, and he has walked hundreds of miles with you, his owner, the center of his world.  Now his arthritis, failing eyesight, decreasing strength, and increasing health issues limit his abilities.  Through the design of this dog house, you can provide him the level of care and comfort he needs.  This dog house provides a large opening for the dog to easily access a bed that cradles your dog’s body without putting pressure on his bones.  Durable, non-slip materials provide safety while also surrounding your pet with soothing colors.  Below the bed is a sanitary tray that allows for easy cleaning and replacement.  Finally, an operable panel provides you with complete and easy access to your dog whenever he needs you.

Midcentury K9 House

By

Being true to midcentury design, we have highlighted post and beam construction while providing a functional and comfortable retreat for our furry friends. To protect from ground water intrusion we have slightly elevated the base of the doghouse and provide overhangs on all sides. We have also left the windows open to provide ventilation through the space. Next to the front entrance there is a solar powered light to help them find their way home in the great back yard. Materials include Hardie siding, wood frame, stained pine floor and soffit, and composite shingle roof.

Benchy Bungalow

By

The conceptual design of our doghouse was inspired by one of the SPCA’s adoptable dogs, Cowboy. Starting with the idea of creating a modern saloon for him, our ideas drifted toward a rocking chair cozy on the porch. As our design evolved, we explored both unique and functional ideas, resulting in a creation that benefits man’s best friend as well as man. While the bench creates a shelter for the dog underneath, it also provides a place for the owner and dog to spend time together on top. From elevation view, one continuous curve gently wraps around the lower portion, bringing subtle attention and visual importance to the dog’s area making him the focus of our design.

KDOG TV

By

KDOG is a whimsical, but modern take on a retro television set. It can be used outdoors, but would be equally appropriate indoors as a piece of furniture. The concept is simply to watch your dog on TV. The dog enters from the side, and will have a cushion to stand or sleep on. In addition to airflow from the entry opening, there will also be ventilation holes in the front. The unit is not powered. Metal legs keep the house off of the ground / floor, and all outside edges are neatly trimmed with metal to protect such edges from damage.

Playhouse

By

This doghouse is both visually enjoyable but functional and interactive as well. The four sided sleek metal frame borders both sides of the structure. There are two levels in the play house. The lower level, covered in wood, provides shelter and can house a dog bed making it feel cozy. The ramp up to the upper level is covered in artificial turf. This allows the dog to have traction to get to the upper level as well as being soft under foot. The second level also provides protection from the outdoor elements as well as providing a higher view of its surroundings. One side of the structure has tennis balls at varying heights, while the other side has tug ropes providing visual contrast. The Playhouse is an interactive house allowing the dog and owner hours of fun!
