unifies the spirit of diversity. The winding white structure symbolizes the ancient spiral of life which manifests human consciousness and the ever evolving bond between humans and animals. The multi-level spatial composition of platforms, openings, perforated curvy walls, upper purrch deck, along with other features such as colorful skylights, puzzle colonnade, natural jute fiber walls and catnip feeder promote a playful sensorial experience and encourage the feline’s natural instincts to explore, scratch, sniff and stretch. The lower level includes an enclosed space lined with noise insulation that provides a comfy snooze-zone and hiding spot. “1627 Thanks-KITTEN Square” is not just the ultimate feline enclave, but also a piece of art that embodies gratitude and the connection between humans and their furry friends.

The Connect Den seeks to emulate the primitive den that canines’ ancestor’s inhabited through time. The use of plywood as the den’s singular natural material ensures that the design is adaptable to any space while its inherent rigidity ensures that the den can withstand the test of time. The unique profiles of the vertical plywood members differ in width to provide a varying degree of enclosure. The oculus at the apex of the den warrants interaction between the dog and their companion. The Connect Den achieves an interchangeable experience of both refuge and connectivity.

The concept for the Hygge Hund Hus borrows from the Danish word Hygge which in simple terms means “to give courage, comfort, joy”. While there is no one English word to simply describe Hygge, there are many to describe the idea: Coziness, Charm, Happiness, Content, Security, Familiarity, Comfort, Reassurance, Kinship and Simple. The house is designed to amplify natural light through unobscured openings, with something soft and organic underfoot that can be easily removed for cleaning or updating. It is designed with no need for fasteners, although minimal have been used for safety of transport.
